Happy Beltane (May Day)!
In the UK, the first day of May is the Pagan festival of Beltane. Beltane celebrates the joining of the Goddess and the Green Man, combining the female and male energies to create new life. This day is in between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice, the earth in the northern hemisphere is warming up, the sun is shining more often, warmer days are on their way and flowers are beginning to bloom.
People are getting out and about, especially now that the vaccines for COVID are continued being administered. It feels like we are waking from a long slumber.
So, what about the card for May?
The High Priestess is a spiritual being that reminds us to listen to our intuition, gut feelings. As we get older our logical brain tends to kick in and we often lose or ignore the little voice or feelings we get about people or situations.
Have you ever noticed how small children or animals can react to people? If a dog growls at someone, they are using its instincts to communicate that they don’t trust them. Dogs aren’t able to talk so must go by their gut feelings. Humans did the same back in the caveman era.
Intuition is pre-installed within all of us, but it needs to be used. Ever heard of the phrase, ‘if you don’t use it, you lose it?’
Take some time and tune into your inner voice this month. Meditate, spend time in nature, and look within. Did you hear something that just didn’t feel right? Pay attention to those moments, and listen to what your intuition is telling you. Your intuition is never wrong, it is there working for you, not against you.
Be aware of dreams, symbols, and coincidences this month, since they may have important messages for you.
Have a wonderful, blessed May, and stay safe!
